A Flight to Madrid: SS 2024

A flight to Madrid was the final presentation for the Fashion Technology course at VCU. The task given was to create a well curated collection for an athletic/athleisure brand of your choice and to create your own 2D CAD’s that feature a cohesive color palette as well as patterns that were made through Photoshop.

The process

The first step was to create a concept board for our new clothing line which included a color palette and shapes that were found within the concept board.

The second step was to use the shapes to create patterns in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator while creating two different colorways per pattern. The colors used on the patterns were derived from the original concept board.

The Outcome

This project allowed me to conceptually design an apparel line and create original 2D CAD’s patterns. I also learned how to use Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator through a fashion forward lense.
